Ben Berguson spent eight seasons as an assistant coach at Midfield. He has 20 total years as an assistant coach in high school football with 16 of those coming in Alabama. He arrived at Homewood in 2011.
Berguson had been the offensive line coach for three seasons under former coach Doug Goodwin when he was approved as the next head coach at Homewood in 2014. He is a Louisiana native, coming to Homewood from Spain Park where he served as an assistant coach and interim head coach for one season in 2010.
The 100th win of his career came against James Clemens in the 2025 football season.
