2026 Preview

Ohatchee finished the 2025 season with a disappointing 3-7 record. Last year Ohatchee finished sixth in Class 3A region six with a 2-6 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs.        Ohatchee struggled on the defensive side of the football last year. The defense found little success in stopping opposing offenses as they gave up an average of 35.9 points a game.        Since 2010, Ohatchee has gone a combined 91-84. Their 52.0% winning percentage ranks 29th in Class 2A over the past sixteen seasons.        Over the past 25 seasons, Ohatchee has managed to compile a record of 132-138. Their 49.0% winning percentage ranks 30th in Class 2A and 206th in the AHSAA. Head Coach:        The Indians are led by head coach Blake Jennings who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 3-7 record in his first season at Ohatchee. The Indians have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Jennings. Season Outlook:        The Ohatchee Indians will play in Class 2A region six during the 2026 season.                   The Indians could find themselves challenging for one of the playoff spots for region six this season with a few breaks and a little improvement. Ohatchee came up short of the playoffs last year but are optimistic of a return to the post season this year.

Season Opener:
       The Indians open the 2026 season at home against non-region opponent New Hope on Friday, August 21 at Ragan Clark Stadium. Last year the New Hope Indians finished with an overall record of 2-8 and in eighth place in Class 4A region eight. The Indians closed out the regular season with a loss to Randolph by a score of 23-22.

       Ohatchee and New Hope have met a total of 3 times on the football field. The Indians have a 1-2-0 record against the Indians. They last met in 2025 with New Hope winning by a score of 43-32.
