 2026 Preview

Bayshore Christian finished the 2025 season with a disappointing 1-7 record. Last year Bayshore Christian finished sixth in Class 2A region one with a 1-5 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs.

The defense allowed a team record 296 points last season. The Eagles have never qualified for a playoff spot and would love to break that streak this season. The Eagles have never won a playoff game in the school's history. They would like to break through and pick up that first post season victory in 2026.

The offense struggled putting points on the score board as Bayshore Christian averaged scoring just 11.4 points a game. The Eagles also struggled on the defensive side of the football as they found little success in stopping opposing offenses and allowed an average of 37.0 points a game.

The Eagles would prefer to forget the past two seasons as they have finished with a 3-13 record.

Bayshore Christian is a relatively new football program having fielded a team only two seasons. They have managed a record of 3-13 over the past two years.

Head Coach:
The Eagles are led by head coach Jacy Todd who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 1-7 record in his first season at Bayshore Christian. The Eagles have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Todd.

Season Outlook:

The Bayshore Christian Eagles will play in Class A region one during the 2026 season.

During the off season the AHSAA decided to separate the public and private schools in Alabama into two different divisions. This is likely a two year experiment that will be tweaked over the next few years. It will make for interesting conversations during that time.

In only their third year of existence the Eagles have a long way to go to be competitive in the AHSAA. It takes time to build a football program and the young school on the Eastern Shore of Baldwin County is no exception to that rule. With Bayside and St. Michael just down the road it may take a few more years to see the hard work of Coach Todd and his staff.

This season, the Eagles will be a long shot for one of the four playoff spots in region one.

Season Opener:
The Eagles open the 2026 season on the road against non-region opponent Fruitdale on Friday, August 21 at Indians Stadium. Last year the Fruitdale Pirates finished with an overall record of 1-9 and in seventh place in Class 1A region one. The Pirates closed out the regular season with a loss to Washington County by a score of 51-6.

This will be the second meeting between Bayshore Christian and Fruitdale on the football field. The Eagles have a 1-0-0 record against the Pirates. They last met in with

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

In 1969 the two point conversion was adopted for play following a touchdown. Until that time all conversions were worth one point.
