Valley completed the 2025 season with a 6-4 record. With their 4-2 region record and a second place finish in Class 5A region four, the Rams earned a spot in the playoffs in 2025. Valley's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Shelby County by a score of 26-23. Since 2010, Valley has gone a combined 77-90. Their 46.1% winning percentage ranks 34th in Class 4A over the past sixteen seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Valley has managed to compile a record of 136-129. Their 51.0% winning percentage ranks 29th in Class 4A and 193rd in the AHSAA. Head Coach: The Rams are led by head coach Adam Hunter who is entering his seventh season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 30-29 over the past six seasons at Valley. Under his direction the Rams have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Hunter. Season Outlook: The Valley Rams will play in Class 4A region four during the 2026 season. At times in 2025 the Valley Rams looked like world beaters as they opened the season with big time victories over Glenwood and 7A Smiths Station. They closed the season with disappointing setbacks to Beauregard and Shelby County in the first round of the playoffs. The Rams are considered one of the favorites for the region four championship this season and a home game in the first round of the playoffs.
Season Opener: The Rams open the 2026 season on the road against non-region opponent Lanett on Friday, August 28 at Morgan-Washburn Stadium. Last year the Lanett Panthers finished with an overall record of 12-3 and in first place in Class 2A region four. The Panthers lost in the Class 2A State Championship game last season when they were defeated by Coosa Christian. They final score was 29-22 in the Super Seven finals in Birmingham. Valley and Lanett have met a total of 93 times on the football field. The Rams have a 59-32-2 record against the Panthers. They last met in 2023 with Valley winning by a score of 41-14. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
