2026 Preview

Hamilton completed the 2025 season with a 11-1 record. The Aggies cruised through the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record going into the post season. Last year Hamilton captured the region five title and a number one seed in the Class 4A playoffs. They finished region play with a 7-0 record. It was the first region championship for the Aggies since the 2012 season. Hamilton reached the second round of the playoffs before falling to Deshler by a score of 31-30.        The Aggies won as many games as in any season since 2010.        The high-scoring Hamilton offense ranked 15th in the AHSAA. They averaged 43.3 points a game.        Since 2010, Hamilton has gone a combined 104-75. Their 58.1% winning percentage ranks 17th in Class 4A over the past sixteen seasons.        Over the past 25 seasons, Hamilton has managed to compile a record of 173-110. Their 61.0% winning percentage ranks 12th in Class 4A and 86th in the AHSAA. Head Coach:        The Aggies are led by head coach Evan Shipp who is entering his fourth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 20-13 over the past three seasons at Hamilton. Under his direction the Aggies have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times. They have won one region crown with Coach Shipp. Season Outlook:        The Hamilton Aggies will play in Class 4A region seven during the 2026 season.        Hamilton will face six opponents that reached the playoffs last season.        The Aggies enter the 2026 season riding a 13 game regular season winning streak. Hamilton has won 9 consecutive region games.        The best season in at least a dozen years may have the Aggie fans ready for the 2026 football season. Rightfully so but there is a little bad news. They have been placed in a rather difficult region with the likes of Deshler, Brooks, Priceville and West Morgan. That alone will cause the fans to wonder what is in store for the Aggies in 2026.        Last year six teams in this new region following realignment won more games than they lost and reached the playoffs. It's going to crowded at the top for a while.        Mason Holloway completed 116 of 181 passes for 2386 yards and 30 TDs and will return for his Senior season. Houston Tibbs caught 41 passes for 924 yards and 13 TDs and will return for his Senior season.     The Aggies have a good shot at one of the last two playoff slots in region seven this season.

Season Opener:
       The Aggies open the 2026 season on the road against non-region opponent Sulligent on Friday, August 28 at Brown Stadium. Last year the Sulligent Blue Devils finished with an overall record of 6-5 and in third place in Class 2A region five. The Blue Devils lost in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs to Southeastern by a score of 26-8.

       Hamilton and Sulligent have met a total of 90 times on the football field. The Aggies have a 65-23-2 record against the Blue Devils. They last met in 2025 with Hamilton winning by a score of 55-6.
