 2026 Preview

Cleburne County completed the 2025 season with a 4-6 record. Last year Cleburne County just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 4A region three with a 2-5 region record.

Cleburne County was inconsistent offensively last year and they need some improvement if the Tigers want to be competitive. They only averaged 19.0 points a game.

Since 2010, Cleburne County has gone a combined 71-100. Their 41.5% winning percentage ranks 39th in Class 3A over the past sixteen seasons.

Over the past 25 seasons, Cleburne County has managed to compile a record of 146-131. Their 53.0% winning percentage ranks 22nd in Class 3A and 167th in the AHSAA.

Head Coach:
The Tigers are led by head coach Vaughn Lee who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 5-15 over the past two seasons at Cleburne County. The Tigers have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Lee.

Season Outlook:

The Cleburne County Tigers will play in Class 3A region four during the 2026 season.

The Tigers from Heflin have struggled on the football field in recent years. They have reached the playoffs just once in the past ten seasons and finished each year with a losing record.

The four wins last year was an improvement and time will tell if the Tigers can take the next step in 2026.

The Tigers have a good shot at one of the last two playoff slots in region four this season. Cleburne County missed the playoffs the past couple of seasons but hope to return to the post season this year.

The Blue Devils ended last season on a positive note with a win over Lincoln by a score of 44-28 after failing to gain a playoff spot.

This will be the second meeting between Cleburne County and Etowah on the football field. The Tigers have a 1-0-0 record against the Blue Devils. They last met in with
