 2024 Preview 


       Freedom Academy completed the 2023 season with a 4-4 record.

       The Cowboys hope to rebound after a down year. Last season they struggled winning just four games which followed a 12-2 record in 2022.

       Since 2010, Freedom Academy has gone a combined 74-56. Their 56.9% winning percentage ranks 5th in Class 8 Man over the past fourteen seasons.

       Over the past 19 seasons, Freedom Academy has managed to compile a record of 115-67. Their 63.0% winning percentage ranks 4th in Class 8 Man and 4th in the .

Head Coach:
       The Cowboys are led by head coach Kyle Collins who is entering his nineteenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 105-64 over the past eighteen seasons at Freedom Academy. Under his direction the Cowboys have qualified for the playoffs a total of six times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Collins. Coach Collins led to a state championship in 2007. His 105 wins rank 4th among active coaches in the .

Season Outlook:

       The Freedom Academy Cowboys will play in Class 8 Man region during the 2024 season.

      

      



Season Opener:
       The Cowboys open the 2024 season at home against non-region opponent Greene County on Friday, August 30. Last year the Greene County Tigers finished with an overall record of 2-7 and in seventh place in Class 2A region five.

       This will be the first meeting between Freedom Academy and Greene County on the football field.
