 2023 Preview

Ardmore finished the 2022 season with a disappointing 3-7 record. Last year Ardmore finished sixth in Class 5A region eight with a 2-4 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs.

The Tigers have never won a playoff game in the school's history. They would like to break through and pick up that first post season victory in 2023.

Since 2010, Ardmore has gone a combined 50-82. Their 37.9% winning percentage ranks 38th in Class 5A over the past thirteen seasons.

Over the past 25 seasons, Ardmore has not won much with a record of 83-171. Their 33.0% winning percentage ranks 52nd in Class 5A and 335th in the AHSAA.

The Tigers are led by head coach Jonathan Snider who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 10-11 over the past two seasons at Ardmore. Under his direction the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Snider.

The Tigers could find themselves challenging for one of the playoff spots for region eight this season with a few breaks and a little improvement. Ardmore came up short of the playoffs last year but are optimistic of a return to the post season this year.

The Tigers open the 2023 season at home against non-region opponent West Limestone on Friday, August 25 at Cooper Field. Last year the West Limestone Wildcats finished with an overall record of 5-5 and in sixth place in Class 4A region seven.

Ardmore and West Limestone have met a total of 74 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 29-44-1 record against the Wildcats. They last met in 2022 with West Limestone winning by a score of 27-21.
