Westminster Christian completed the 2021 season with a 5-5 record. Last year Westminster Christian just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 4A region seven with a 3-4 region record. Since 2010, Westminster Christian has gone a combined 75-52. Their 59.1% winning percentage ranks 18th in Class 4A over the past twelve seasons. Over the past 17 seasons, Westminster Christian has managed to compile a record of 92-84. Their 52.0% winning percentage ranks 24th in Class 4A and 171st in the AHSAA. The Wildcats are led by head coach Louis LeBlanc who is entering his seventh season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 36-28 over the past six seasons at Westminster Christian. Under his direction the Wildcats have qualified for the playoffs a total of three times. They have won two region crowns with Coach LeBlanc. Coach LeBlanc's overall record as a head football coach in six season stands at 36-28 (56.3%). The Westminster Christian Wildcats will play in Class 4A region eight during the 2022 season. Following realignment, the Wildcats remain in 4A but move from region seven over to region eight. With a little luck and some improvement, the Wildcats could find themselves challenging for one of the playoff spots for region eight this season. Westminster Christian missed the playoffs the past couple of seasons but hope to return to the post season in 2022. The Wildcats open the 2022 season at home against non-region opponent Lee Huntsville on Friday, August 19 at Earl Van Dyke Stadium. Last year the Lee Huntsville Generals finished with an overall record of 5-6 and in third place in Class 5A region eight. The Generals lost in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs to Leeds by a score of 41-22. Westminster Christian and Lee Huntsville have met a total of 4 times on the football field. The Wildcats have a 2-2-0 record against the Generals. They last met in 2021 with Lee Huntsville winning by a score of 43-40. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
