Southside completed the 2021 season with a 9-2 record. With their 5-1 region record and a second place finish in Class 3A region three, the Panthers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2021. Southside's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Bayside Academy by a score of 37-36. No team at Southside ever won more games in a season than the nine victories last year. The last time they won as many was back in 2003. The 438 points scored by the Panthers last year were a team record in a single season. The Panthers last playoff victory came during the 2003 season. They would love to break through this year with a post season win. Since 2010, Southside has gone a combined 48-76. Their 38.7% winning percentage ranks 42nd in Class 3A over the past twelve seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Southside has managed to compile a record of 101-156. Their 39.0% winning percentage ranks 45th in Class 3A and 289th in the AHSAA. The Panthers are led by head coach Charles Moody Jr. who is entering his fourth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 20-12 over the past three seasons at Southside.
