North River Christian finished the 2021 season with a disappointing 3-5 record. The Chargers would prefer to forget the past two seasons as they have finished with a 4-9 record. Since 2010, the North River Christian football program has struggled with a record of 28-73. Over the past 23 seasons, North River Christian has managed to compile a record of 76-114. Their 40.0% winning percentage ranks 3rd in Class AISA-8 Man and 26th in the AISA. The Chargers are led by head coach Maurice Adams who is entering his ninth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 16-46 over the past eight seasons at North River Christian. The Chargers have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Adams. Coach Adams' overall record as a head football coach in eight season stands at 16-46 (25.8%). The North River Christian Chargers will play in Class AISA-8 Man region one during the 2022 season. Overall, the region is among the weakest in the state. Qualifying for one of the playoffs spots could be a little easier. The Chargers open the 2022 season at home against non-region opponent Ezekiel Academy on Friday, August 19 at Charger Park. Last year the Ezekiel Academy Knights finished with an overall record of 8-3 and in place in Class 8 Man region eight. The Knights lost in the second round of the Class 8 Man playoffs to Freedom Academy by a score of 42-34. North River Christian and Ezekiel Academy have met a total of 7 times on the football field.
