The Red Tops lost in the second round of the Class 3A playoffs to Hillcrest Evergreen by a score of 39-37. G.W. Long and Slocomb have met a total of 6 times on the football field. The Rebels have a 3-3-0 record against the Red Tops. They last met in 2015 with G.W. Long winning by a score of 43-12. G.W. Long returns 2A All-State Junior defensive back Brayden Whitehead. He was named to the second team last season. The Rebels also return Senior punter Tanner Patton.
