Lighthouse Home School finished the 2016 season with a disappointing 2-5 record. Lighthouse Home School is a relatively new football program having fielded a team only three seasons. They have managed a record of 5-21 over the past three years. The Warriors are led by head coach J.J. Duarte who is entering his fourth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 5-21 over the past three seasons at Lighthouse Home School. Under his direction the Warriors have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Duarte. Coach Duarte's overall record as a head football coach in three season stands at 5-21 (19.2%). The Lighthouse Home School Warriors will play in Class 8 Man region one during the 2017 season. Overall, the region is among the weakest in the state. Qualifying for one of the playoffs spots could be a little easier. The Warriors open the 2017 season on the road against non-region opponent Central Florence on Friday, August 25 at Wildcats Stadium. Last year the Central Florence Wildcats finished with an overall record of 4-7 and in fourth place in Class 4A region eight. The Wildcats lost in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs to Madison Academy by a score of 51-13. This will be the first meeting between Lighthouse Home School and Central Florence on the football field. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
