 2017 Preview 


       Tabernacle completed the 2016 season with a 5-2 record.

       The Torches hope to rebound after a down year. Last season they struggled winning just five games which followed a 10-1 record in 2015.

       Since 2010, Tabernacle has gone a combined 54-19. Their 74.0% winning percentage ranks 2nd in Class 8 Man over the past seven seasons.

       Over the past 20 seasons, Tabernacle has managed to compile a record of 114-63. Their 64.0% winning percentage ranks 3rd in Class 8 Man and 4th in the . Their last losing season was 2009.

       The Torches are led by head coach Keith Dabbs who is entering his thirteenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 70-47 over the past twelve seasons at Tabernacle. Under his direction the Torches have qualified for the playoffs a total of six times. They have won one region crown with Coach Dabbs. Coach Dabbs led Tabernacle to a state championship in 2007.

       Coach Dabbs' overall record as a head football coach in twelve season stands at 70-47 (59.8%).

       The Tabernacle Torches will play in Class 8 Man region two during the 2017 season.

       Region two will be one of the most competitive regions in any classification this season.

       The Torches open the 2017 season at home against region opponent Victory Christian MS on Friday, August 25 at Moncrief Park.

       Tabernacle and Victory Christian MS have met a total of 22 times on the football field. The Torches have a 11-11-0 record against Victory Christian MS. They last met in 2016 with Tabernacle winning by a score of 40-28.
