 2016 Preview 


       Victory Baptist completed the 2015 season with a 7-3 record. With their 5-2 region record and a third place finish in Class 6 Man region , the Eagles earned a spot in the playoffs in 2015.

       Since 2010, Victory Baptist has gone a combined 30-17. Their 64.0% winning percentage ranks 2nd in Class 6 Man over the past six seasons.

       Over the past 17 seasons, Victory Baptist has managed to compile a record of 44-55. Their 44.0% winning percentage ranks 5th in Class 6 Man and 13th in the .

       The Eagles are led by head coach Jim Hardy who is entering his fourth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 27-3 over the past three seasons at Victory Baptist. Under his direction the Eagles have qualified for the playoffs a total of three times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Hardy. Coach Hardy has won two state championships at Victory Baptist, the last coming in 2014.

       Coach Hardy's overall record as a head football coach in three season stands at 27-3 (90.0%).

       The Victory Baptist Eagles will play in Class 6 Man region during the 2016 season.

       Region will be one of the most competitive regions in any classification this season.

       The Eagles open the 2016 season at home against non-region opponent Homewood on Friday, August 26. Last year the Homewood Patriots finished with an overall record of 9-3 and in second place in Class 6A region five. The Patriots lost in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs to Clay-Chalkville by a score of 40-39.

       This will be the first meeting between Victory Baptist and Homewood on the football field.
