 2016 Preview 


       Cullman Christian completed the 2015 season with a 9-0 record. Last year Cullman Christian captured the region title and a number one seed in the Class 6 Man playoffs. They finished region play with a 8-0 record. It was the first region championship for the Lions.

       No team at Cullman Christian ever won more games in a season than the nine victories last year. The 463 points scored by the Lions last year were a team record in a single season.

      

       Cullman Christian is a relatively new football program having fielded a team only four seasons. They have managed a record of 27-8 over the past four years.

       The Lions are led by head coach Chase Cantrell who is entering his fifth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 27-8 over the past four seasons at Cullman Christian. Under his direction the Lions have qualified for the playoffs a total of three times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Cantrell. Coach Cantrell led Cullman Christian to a state championship in 2015.

       Coach Cantrell's overall record as a head football coach in four season stands at 27-8 (77.1%).

       The Cullman Christian Lions will play in Class 6 Man region during the 2016 season.

       Region will be one of the most competitive regions in any classification this season.

       The Lions enter the 2016 season riding a 9 game winning streak. They have also won 11 consecutive regular season games. Cullman Christian has won 8 consecutive region games. They have won 8 straight games on their home turf at .

       The Lions open the 2016 season against non-region opponent OPEN on Friday, September 2

       This will be the first meeting between Cullman Christian and OPEN on the football field.
