 2016 Preview

Aliceville completed the 2015 season with a 6-5 record. With their 4-2 region record and a third place finish in Class 3A region four, the Yellow Jackets earned a spot in the playoffs in 2015. Aliceville's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Pike County by a score of 14-6.

Over the past 25 seasons, Aliceville has gone a combined 196-97. Their 67.0% winning percentage ranks 6th in Class 2A and 40th in the AHSAA.

The Yellow Jackets are led by head coach Rico Jackson who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 6-5 record in his first season at Aliceville. Under his direction the Yellow Jackets have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Jackson.

The Yellow Jackets open the 2016 season on the road against non-region opponent Gordo on Friday, August 26 at Green Wave Stadium. Last year the Gordo Green Wave finished with an overall record of 12-1 and in first place in Class 3A region four.
