Game: Played Friday December 10, 1993 at Lamar Field, Oxford
              Chauncey Teague scored two touchdowns as Oxford claimed the 5A state crown for the third time in six years. Teague's final score came with 8:52 remaining in the game on a spectacular 79 yard run that sealed the win for the Yellow Jackets. Greenville tied the score at 21-21 in the third quarter on a Kenyan Maxwell return of a Teague blocked punt for 23 yards.
              Greenville was penalized 15 yards for excessive celebration and the 35 yard extra point was missed keeping the score knotted at 21-21. On the ensuing kickoff Delano Ball would run the ball 95 yards to pay dirt and Oxford was on their way to the championship with a 28-21 lead. Paul West led all runners with 173 yards rushing for the Yellow Jackets.
