Tailback Steve Hancock rushed for 70 yards on only nine carries and scored three touchdowns on runs of 5, 10 and 10 yards and linebacker Aubrey Stadther returned a fumble 13 yards for another score. Oneonta tailback Kris Jennings had been averaging over 200 yards a game in the four playoff games but the Bulldog defense held him to 19 yards on 20 carries.
The UMS defense, which recorded eight shutouts during the season, held the run oriented Redskins to just 14 yards in the second half.
