Summary:

T.R. Miller would jump out to an early 14-0 lead on a fumble recovery in the end zone by Gordon Sherrer and a short two yard run by Greer Horton. They would remain silent until a four yard run by Lee Kaylor and a seven yard pass to Mac Phillippi from his brother Bucky in the last quarter. The Tiger defense did the rest in holding Aliceville to a total of minus 25 yards of total offense for the game.
The defense also came away with five fumble recoveries and an interception to take away any chance the Yellow Jackets had of winning the game. It would be the first of many state championship runs for the T.R. Miller Tigers in the coming years.
