 High School Bio:

            As a senior, he rushed for 2,298 yards and 36 touchdowns during his senior season. He also caught 18 passes for 435 yards, an average of 24.2 yards per catch, and six touchdowns. Tony returned one kickoff for a touchdown. His touchdown total set a new state record. He led the Tornados to a 13-1 record and a spot in the Class 1A state championship game, setting records along the way. He was named Most Valuable Player of the state title game, a 20-17 come-from-behind victory. He rushed 15 times for 116 yards and two touchdowns in the championship game, adding 10 tackles and a pass breakup on defense. Tony was a five-year letterman and four-year starter at Parrish. He played tailback on offense and free safety and linebacker on defense and rushed 133 times for 1,635 yards (a 12.3 average) and 13 touchdowns during his junior season. Dixon also surpassed the 1,000-yard mark as a sophomore. He earned some type of all-state honors for four years, including first-team all-state the last three years. He helped his team advance to the state playoffs each of his four seasons as a starter. He gained 531 yards in a game against Hubbertville and scored eight touchdowns in the same game.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Parrish scored a record 77 points in a playoff game against Cedar Bluff in 2001. The Tornados were shutout the following week 19-0 by Courtland.
