            Played varsity football four years and was team captain during 6 games. Made All-County 3 years, All-Metro 3 years, All-State 3 years, and All-Southern Team last year. Played in 43 consecutive games; and during senior year made 89 tackles, blocked 5 punts and recovered 1 fumble. Also lettered in wrestling and track.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The Tuscaloosa Black Bears were considered one of the best programs in the nation from 1925-1931. Their record over that span was an amazing 61-0-3.
