Active Coaches with the Most Wins 

    
          The 2022 offseason saw many coaching changes that will affect schools for year to come. Stacy Luker left Clarke County with 236 career wins after winning the first state championship in school history. Wayne Grant retires from Crenshaw Christian after posting 264 career victories.

          No less than twelve other coaches stepped aside or retired with more than 100 victories in their careers. David Powell at Sumiton Christian (239), Phil Lazenby at Bayside Academy (200), Laron White at Sparkman (182), Robert Johnson at Montgomery Academy (181), Drew Noles at Westbrook Christian (159), Jimmy Perry at St. James (157), Harold Wells at Mae Jemison (135), Jason Howard at Spring Garden (134) Chris Hilliker at Southern Academy (127), Clifford Story at Lanett (114), Bruce Breland at Victory Christian (105) and Bobby Parrish at Cottage Hill Christian (104).

           That leaves us with the list below as we enter the 2023 season soon. Terry Curtis with 348 wins leads the way as four other coaches with at least 300 victories follow. Sixty-six head active football coaches in the state have won at least 100 games over the course of their careers.
