Autauga Academy - Kyle Glover returns to Autauga Academy after an absence of seventeen years. He got his start here in 1998 as the head fotoball coach and remained for a single season before moving on the Autaugaville for another year in 2000. Glover served as the head coach at Marbury from 2004-2009 with a 37-26 record. His overall record stands at 69-49 in eleven seasons as a head football coach. Crenshaw Christian - Mike Sims arrives at Crenshaw Christian from Autauga Academy where his teams went a combined 55-29 in seven seasons. Prior to the Autauga job, he was the head football coach at Sparta Academy in 2007 and 2008 with a 11-9 record. Edgewood Academy - Eric Folmar will take over for Bobby Carr at Edgewood Academy in 2016. A graduate of Edgewood in 2003, Folmar played baseball for Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham. In 2005 he joined the Marines, serving his country for four years. In 2009 he returned to pursue a degree in Sports Management at Faulkner University where he worked as a graduate assistant. Later he was hired full time as a coach for the linebackers. During this same time he also worked as an assistant football coach at Edgewood Academy with the football and baseball teams. In 2014 after receiving his degree, he accepted a position of head coach with the Southwest Georgia Academy for two seasons. Glenwood School - Jason Gibson takes over the football program at Glenwood in 2016. He has been the head coach of the Columbus Lions indoor team for ten years. In May he took on job number two, when he was named the new head coach at Glenwood. Jackson Academy - Jacob Webb arrives at Jackson Academy from nearby Fruitdale where he led the Pirates to a combined 19-24 record in fours seasons as the head football coach. Lakeside - Phil Anderson returns as the head football coach and athletic director at Lakeside after serving as the head coach for three seasons in 2012-2014. His previous stint with the program led to a 19-15 record. Morgan Academy - Josh Thacker becomes the new head football coach at Morgan Academy. He spent the last three seasons at Pickens Academy as the head coach where his teams compiled a 18-16 overall record including 1-3 in the playoffs. Pickens Academy - Wade Goodman has been named as the head football coach at Pickens Academy. He has served a variety of positions with the sports program at Pickens. South Montgomery Academy - Rob Hollingshead will lead the football program at South Montgomery Academy in 2016. Sumter Academy - Joe Nettles is the most traveled man in the high school coaching ranks in Alabama. Sumter Academy will be his 17th job as a head football coach. His last four jobs lasted exactly one season. |
