Bay Minette Yellow Jackets Trim Foley 47 to 6 In First Football Game Ever Played By Local High Boys
The Bay Minette Yellow Jackets trimmed the Foley boys 47 to 6 in a hard fought game of football here last Friday afternoon. It was Foley High's first football game and it was great encouragement to the school and citizens of Foley to see the fight the local boys put up to try to win, as most of the boys are new to the game.
Foley failed to score until the third quarter when Kenneth Rapp, halfback, received a forward pass from Lincoln Stelk, quarterback, and streaked down the field for a touchdown. Foley came close to scoring again but they couldn't evade the Bay Minette offense and lost.
There were thirteen players used by Foley and neither side had any mishaps, although there were some tough scrimmaging in the game. The boys were pretty evenly matched in weight but the Foley boys showed the lack of hard practicing which is necessary to make a good football team.

Foley's Lineup was:
Ard.................................. Left End
Clarence Younce............. Left Tackle
Sinclair............................. Left Guard
Young............................. Right Guard
Milton Stelk...................... Right Tackle
Carlisle Childress................ Right End
Lincoln Stelk.................... Quarterback
Kenneth Rapp.................. Left Halfback
Freddie Miller.................... Right Halfback
Hunter............................. Fullback
Binger Peterson, D. Crandall and Johnson were used as relief men.
