Game: Played December 4, 1981 at Stevenson
Summary: Stevenson had outscored their opponents
112-6 in the playoffs prior to the championship game with
Dadeville. The Panther's defense held Dadeville to just three
points but could not score themselves and lost their shot at a
third championship in five years. A field goal by Felix Lockhart
with six minutes remaining in the first quarter gave Dadeville
their first state championship.
The Panthers had won 28 games in
a row at home prior to the title game.
Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History
Thomasville scored 54 points against Gulf Shores in the first quarter of a game in 2003. They managed to hang on for an 81-14 win.
