 2016 Preview 


       Patrician Academy completed the 2015 season with a 6-5 record. With their 4-2 region record and a second place finish in Class A region one, the Saints earned a spot in the playoffs in 2015. Patrician Academy's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Abbeville Christian by a score of 42-6.

       Since 2010, Patrician Academy has gone a combined 48-24. Their 67.0% winning percentage ranks 1st in Class A over the past six seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Patrician Academy has gone a combined 199-88. Their 69.0% winning percentage ranks 1st in Class A and 2nd in the AISA. The Saints have been successful on the football field with twenty-one winning seasons during this time. Their last losing season was 2003.

       The Saints are led by head coach Jonathan Lindsey who is entering his fifth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 30-18 over the past four seasons at Patrician Academy. Under his direction the Saints have qualified for the playoffs a total of four times. They have won one region crown with Coach Lindsey.

       Coach Lindsey's overall record as a head football coach in four season stands at 30-18 (62.5%).

       The Patrician Academy Saints will play in Class A region two during the 2016 season. Following realignment, the Saints remain in A but move from region one over to region two.

       The Saints should be in contention for a playoff spot in region two this season. They will be looking to gain an advantage by hosting a first round postseason game. They have reached the playoffs every year since 2001 and will once again be in the hunt for a spot in 2016.

       The Saints open the 2016 season at home against non-region opponent Evangel Christian Alabaster on Friday, August 26 at Hannah-Hesselman Field. Last year the Evangel Christian Alabaster Lightning finished with an overall record of 11-1 and in first place in Class 8 Man region one. The Lightning won the Class 8 Man State Championship last season when they defeated Ezekiel Academy by a score of 64-20 in Troy.

       Patrician Academy and Evangel Christian Alabaster have met a total of 2 times on the football field. The Saints have a 1-1-0 record against the Lightning. They last met in with
