 2016 Preview 


       Clay County Christian completed the 2015 season with a 4-4 record. With their 4-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 6 Man region , the Eagles earned a spot in the playoffs in 2015. Clay County Christian's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Cullman Christian by a score of 64-12.

       No team at Clay County Christian ever won more games in a season than the four victories last year. The 320 points scored by the Eagles last year were a team record in a single season. The defense allowed a team record 316 points last season. The Eagles qualified for the playoffs for the first time in the school's history in 2015.

      

       Clay County Christian is a relatively new football program having fielded a team only five seasons. They have managed a record of 16-22 over the past five years.

       The Eagles are led by head coach Joe Haynes who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 7-8 over the past two seasons at Clay County Christian. Under his direction the Eagles have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Haynes.

       Coach Haynes' overall record as a head football coach in two season stands at 7-8 (46.7%).

       The Clay County Christian Eagles will play in Class 6 Man region during the 2016 season.

      

       The Eagles open the 2016 season against non-region opponent OPEN on Friday, September 2

       This will be the first meeting between Clay County Christian and OPEN on the football field.
