Last year Elkmont finished seventh in Class 4A region 8 with a 1-6 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs. Since 2010, Elkmont has gone a combined 26-37. The Bulldogs lost in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs to Red Bay by a score of 56-15. Elkmont and Addison have met a total of 3 times on the football field.
