    Jace Sellers completed 136 of 214 passes for 2,194 yards and 29 TDs and will return for his Junior season. Cory Yelder caught 39 passes for 818 yards and 9 TDs and will be returning for his Senior season.

    Chan Lowe took over as the interim head football coach at Leroy when Jason Massey was deployed in early October. He led the Bears to their second straight state championship in 1A with a perfect 11-0 record as the Bears completed the season 15-0 for their seventh state title.

    Kevin Bond most recently served as an assistant coach for the Kinston Bulldogs under head coach, Rudy Free. He also served as an assistant coach for the Elba Tigers under head coach Ed Rigby and was a member of the 2015 state championship team. He is a 2013 graduate of Troy University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. In 2017 he graduated UAB with a Master of Arts in English as a Second Language, and is a 2022 graduate of West Alabama in Educational Leadership.

    Jul Little is from Linden where he played football from 2007-2011. He is a 2012 graduate of Linden High School. After graduation he signed a scholarship to play at Miles College and played one season there under Reginald Ruffin. Coach Little then transferred to UAB, walked on and played on the 2014 team that got cancelled, before graduating in 2016. His coaching career began in 2019 at Clarke County High School. He spent two seasons there under Coach Stacy Luker coaching running backs and assisting with Defensive Backs. After those two seasons he returned home to Linden as the Offensive Coordinator in 2021. In 2022 he switched to the defensive coordinator.

    Nehemiah McCary rushed for 836 yards and 19 TDs and will return for his Junior season. McCary is also a beast on defense.

    Hayden Bryant was a star football and baseball player at Brilliant and now will be the next head football coach for the Tigers in 2024. He was all-county between 2015-2018. Bryant is a graduate of North Alabama where he was a student assistant coach in 2022 and completed his master's degree in 2023.

Outlook:   As most fans who follow high school football in Alabama should know by now this will be the team to beat in the north. The Lions are coming off a 12-1 season and retrun every starter on both sides of the football. It's difficult to pick against those odds.
    Blaize Wakefield completed 140 of 224 passes for 2,295 yards and 36 TDs and will return for his Senior season. William Rushing caught 51 passes for 1,188 yards and 24 TDs and will also be back for his Senior season. Tyler Stricklin rushed for 1,323 yards and 17 TDs and will be returning for his Junior season.

Moving down to Class 1A gives us an opportunity to compete in a new region and renew some rivalries against teams we haven't played in a long time. We're excited about the challenge that lies ahead and the chance to see some different competition each week.

Our success this season will be built on leadership, accountability, and discipline. Those values have to be the foundation of everything we do-from offseason workouts to Friday nights. If our players continue to lead by example, hold each other accountable, and play with discipline, we'll put ourselves in position to be successful. Outlook:   Simply a great season for the Eagles in 2025 as the finished with an 11-1 record. It was a record breaking season and the future could just bring more winning at Appalachian.
    Colton Caldwell completed 84 of 140 passes for 1,658 yards and 14 TDs and will return for his Junior season. He also rushed for 828 yards and another 15 touchdowns.
