That would be tricky there, as it's a preseason game, regardless of it's attempt to continue the series. Technically, because it's not a game that counts in the regular season record, then it can't be listed amongst the schedule. I would say when listing storied series, a note can be made to say that even though a regular season game wasn't played in 2014, they did continue the tradition, and played a preseason game with all the bells and whistles of a regular game. It will be played like it was a regular season game, with the varsity, kicking and everything else being like a real game.

As far as history is concerned, this is not a real game and will not show up on their schedules or be recorded as a real game. It is just the way it is. While they may play an entire game with the starters and treat it as a regular season game, most teams do not go into their preseason games with that thought.
Most schools play the starters only a half or three quarters and try to play a lot of young players. There is really no way to determine which games are real and which are just a jamboree.
I have thought about adding these preseason games to our records but this is likely a one year deal from the AHSAA and I think next year they may go to an eleven week schedule where each team has a week off during the season. Like Georgia does.
At this time I have no way of designating preseason games in our records. As it is now, if I add a preseason game to a team's records it will count in their all-time win-lose record. Therefore it would change a ton of things for that school on their teampage. It would take some extensive work to figure out how to take it out of all the records for each team.
Believe it or not this website is very complicated and has so many pieces to it that trying to get that done would be near impossible at this point.
It is no different than the AHSAA Champions Challenge games of past years and like the year Prattville played North Gwinnett. Those were preseason games and do not show up in those team's records.
So, for now it is just a preseason game that will be lost to time after it is played. Actually a shame for these two schools. It is a big game for the area and the state.
