So Coosa Christian gets to stay 2a since they "didnt make the playoffs last year", correct?
If they were allowed to be in the playoffs last year would they be forced to move up or would they have had to make it to the second round during the 2024 season?

If so, and Even though Im sure any coach would rather compete for a state championship in the current year, it partially seems like they are getting a slight reward for breaking the rules and being ruled ineligible for the playoffs that year because now they did not accumulate any competitve balance points and get to stay in 2a instead of moving up for the next two years.

I know its a little bit of a sticky situation because you dont want to punish them twice for the violation, but I wish the AHSAA would have included that in the original ruling of the violation that they would also have accumulated some competitive balance points for the 2024 season since we all know they would have most likely earned those points if they were allowed to play even with some of their inelligible players out.

That being said I very loosley followed that situation last year, so I could be missing some key information if someone would like to clear things up.

They would have had to make at least the second round last year to be moved up per competitive balance. I think we all know they would have, but thems the breaks.
