Here is a list of what I have remaining to complete the stadium maps. Many of these do not have a stadium at the school and I do not know where they play home games.

McGill - Lipscomb Park
Saraland- They may play at Satsuma?
Munford -
Greene County
Livingston
Central Florence
Deshler - It may be there but the map is too cloudy to tell
Aliceville
Sipsey Valley
Cottage Hill
Carrollton
Coffeeville
Decatur Heritage Christian
Jacksonville Christian
Jefferson Christian
Linden
Skyline
Woodville
Dixie Academy
Lowndes Academy
Open Door Christian

McGill - Lipscomb Park - (30.665671,-88.136353)
Saraland- Also plays at Lipscomb according to their website.
Linden - Linden Field (also for Marengo Academy) - (32.308372,-87.789624)

I don't know if you plan to eventually do defunct teams, but Marengo County High's field is on campus at 32.270778,-87.627296.

I have thought about adding the closed schools to the maps section. I think we should at least add the school locations but when it comes to the stadiums I am not sure many of them still exist. I will look around and see what I can find as soon as I get all the current schools found.

I think people would like to see where the old closed schools were and if they are still there. Many of them became elementary or middle schools so the buildings are still there. I am sure we will do the schools that we can find. So, if you find a closed school let me know.

Thanks to all that are helping with this little project.

I found a few more. Most of what we now need are schools that do not play in their own stadium and some I just can not find. Here is the revised list of what we need. The other I found.

Greene County
Livingston
Deshler - It may be there but the map is too cloudy to tell
Aliceville
Flint Hill Christian
Sipsey Valley
Carrollton
Decatur Heritage Christian
Jacksonville Christian
Jefferson Christian
Skyline
Woodville
Open Door Christian

Open Door Christian is now called North River Christian Academy and they are the Chargers. They play their home games at Sokol Park in Tuscaloosa located at the corner of Watermelon Road and Ol Colony Road. I couldn't find a physical address for Sokol Park.

David, I emailed Jefferson Christian, and they play their home games at Moody High School.

Sokol Park is listed as Munny Sokol Park, 3901 Watermelon Rd.

Great! That only leaves us looking for the following stadiums:

Livingston
Aliceville
Flint Hill Christian
Skyline
Woodville

I have looked all over the at the maps for Livingston and Aliceville stadiums and can not even find a stadium in Aliceville. I don't think Livingston plays at West Alabama but they could I suppose.
The others probably play at another school's stadium.

Skyline's website lists their 2010 schedule, with all home games played at other high schools or junior highs. Their home games in the past listed in their history on said website show they've been played at such places as Pisgah & North Jackson. Home games for Skyline are listed below.
August 27 vs Woodville @Section High School 7:00pm
October 26th vs Spring Garden High (Site TBA ) 7:00pm

Woodville lists on thir website that they play their home games at Madison County Elementary School in Gurley, at least all their 2009 home games were there. Madison Co. Elementary School 173 Wood St, Gurley, Alabama 35748

Flint Hill lists their home games as 'home'. They're right down the road from Bessemer Academy. A preview of the 2006 season on al.com when they were 8-man shows they played their home games at something called Tri-County Field. The Birmingham News high school preview is tomorrow, and it possibly will name the local school's various home stadiums in there.

Aliceville's stadium is listed as Memorial Stadium, and there is mention in the Tuscaloosa News of their graduation ceremony last May taking place there. I was unable to find any address for it on their website or a web search.

Livingston High used to allow West Alabama to play their home games at the high school stadium before UWA actually had a home field, as per the West Alabama football stadium wiki page. I could find nothing on their stadium beyond that.

http://www.satelliteviews.net/my-house.htm

Here is the satellite view of Munford's stadium. Its located at their old high school, as their new one was built across Highway 21(the school) but they still play at their old stadium. I couldnt get a coordinates on the field but the link shows a satellite view if that helps.

Sorry that link didnt work, but your address for Munford High is wrong on this site as thats the old address. The stadium's address should be at THAT location of the old high school.

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=115+Lions+Road+Munford,+AL.&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=115+Lions+Rd,+Munford,+AL+36268&gl=us&ei=4V55TIODCIG0lQf-6ODrCw&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CBkQ8gEwAA

The new school is at:
300 Cedars Road
Munford, AL. 36268

We have not begun to map the closed schools at this point. I will need to come up with something before I can make that happen. I have located some of them but before I add any to the website I think it would be best if some work is done and we have most of them in place.

That will take some work so it may be after the season now.

I actually was on one of my excursions to who knows where between Andalusia and maybe Luverne when I just came upon the Dozier school. I did turn around and stopped to look. That is when I came up with the idea that we should have photos of these old schools while they are still standing. The school was still there as well as the stadium.

After almost 20 years it didn't look that bad really.
I now try to take a camera and get a snapshot of things like this when I come across them. That day I had no camera with me.
