Seen where you have Winterboro listed as forfeiting a win to Vincent, did you hear why? Was just wondering!

Speaking of, look out 2nd round for whoever might see Winterboro. They are down this year but their 3 losses (on the field losses) have come to teams at a combined record of (24-3).

2A B.B. Comer (7-2)
1A Notasulga (8-1)
1A Wadley (9-0)

Not some bad teams to lose to, that?s for sure. I haven?t seen which regions are aligned this year but we could see an upset in 1A in Round 2 if we hold on and beat Woodland to clinch the 2nd spot this week

Thanks

Looks like Coosa Christian/Gaylesville/Valley Head tiebreaker winner in Round 1 then going to Pickens County. Tough draw

Winterboro plays Berry in the last game of the regular season so it will gauge the competition in Region 7 at least

The head football coach at Vincent reported to me that Winterboro forfeited the game due to the "use of an ineligible player."

That is all the information I have at this time.

Thanks! I knew I couldn't find a story here locally so I wondered.
