My understanding is the privates who have been in the association for a long time are wanting to stay. The ones that have joined in the past few years and are having a great bit of success are the ones calling foul. I could be wrong, but it is what I have been hearing.
Some (mostly bigger schools) want to go back to the way things were too. I don't think that will happen right now, but if small schools leave for their own group or are separated, some of the bigger ones want to just shift back in.
Will Ainsworth and the AISA being at the meeting is interesting. Makes it sound more like a "hey let's explore leaving" meeting.
He maybe trying to gain momentum to go after the senate seat that may open up if Tuberville runs for governor? Or he is trying to advance to the national stage. His social media mentions Trump and Britt lately. Anyway, the privates chose a Montgomery County Commissioner and the head of Montgomery Catholic as a spokesperson. Interesting choice.

Ainsworth has shown throughout this ordeal that he is more interested in protecting his special interest than he is representing the majority.
