Our friend, Bill Plott, came through once again with a wealth of research and information. I met him last Friday and he gave me a notebook with all the schools from Clarke, Marengo, Monroe and Choctaw Counties. This was his research of the schools including all the Black schools. I have been working on that for the past week.

His research will fill in a lot of blanks as well as the gam dates for the early years.

I aso got the programs from the AHSAA all-star game held in Tuscaloosa each summer for baketball and football. The football all-star game began in 1949 and I got every program from 1950-1983. The basketball game was played from 1953-1983 and I got every program from 1954-1983.

The programs include rosters along with profiles on the coaches and players. Those will be a great help. We had the football rosters and I added the basketball rosters this week.

I also got coaching directories from 1951-1962 and 1968-2007 except for 1975. As time goes on I will be adding the coaches for every sport from these directories. They are nt always 100% accurate, but it is a start.

So, my work is cut out for me. Anytime I have some free time I will be working on the coaches for the other sports.

Thanks Bill.
