            Billy King of Luverne High School played the position of quarterback with the South All-Star squad. Billys athletic honors include Honorable Mention All-State 1954; and Luverne High Schools Most Valuable Player of 1954. Billy played varsity baseball, basketball, and football three years. Grid statistics; 1954 - 830 yards passing; 1,128 yards rushing; 118 passes attempted with 55 completed.

In 1925 Langdale tied a record by defeating Milltown 125-0. Hamilton had set the record by thrashing Fayette 125-0 in 1915.
