 High School Bio:

            Richard Taylor, from Evergreen High School, played with the South Football All-Star squad. Richard was captain of his team in 1954-55, and the same year won the Advertiser-Journal All-State Guard honor. He played varsity football and baseball for four years.

In 1970 Monroe Academy won the first championship in the A.I.S.A. by defeating Lowndes Academy 6-0.
