Jones rushed for 1,989 yards and scored 31 touchdowns for Parker his senior season. His total yardage , including kickoff returns and pass receiving would near 2,500 yards. He led the thundering Herd to a 9-3 finish. He ran for 371 yards and six touchdowns in a game against Hayes. He scored five touchdowns against Wenonah, five against Woodlawn and four in the quarterfinals of the playoffs against Huffman. His career rushing totals were over 3,500 yards. He went over the 200 yard mark four times his senior year.
