 High School Bio:

            Played offensive tackle and nose guard at Butler. He was named All-City, All-State, All-American by Centenary and Carnation. He was also named Best Offensive Lineman, Most Outstanding Player and was a state Scholar Athlete winner.

The first football game played by a high school team in Alabama was in 1892 when Central Birmingham (Phillips) lost to Alabama 56-0 on November 11.
