 High School Bio:

            Danny played four years of varsity football and was Captain of his team as a senior. He gained a total of 1,473 yards rushing offense last year; 17 touchdowns; 277 carries averaging 5.7 yards per carry; 20 receptions for 266 yards-average 13.3 yards; 5 points after touchdowns. He was 2A-AII-State two years; All- DeKalb County three years; Outstanding Bank-DeKalb County 1966-67 (selected by coaches); Outstanding Athlete; Outstanding Back 1966-67. In basketball he was All-Region 1965-66, 1966-67; Most Valuable Player in Basketball. He also played baseball and ran track.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The Tuscaloosa Black Bears were considered one of the best programs in the nation from 1925-1931. Their record over that span was an amazing 61-0-3.
