 High School Bio:

            Hester played three years of varsity football and was Captain of his squad. He played at the End position. His specialty was "Kick-Off". He threw six touchdown passes, caught 37 passes and made 555 yards. He was voted Most Va1uable Player; All-State; All-County. In basketball he was All-County; All-Area; Most Valuable Player in Area.

In 1969 the two point conversion was adopted for play following a touchdown. Until that time all conversions were worth one point.
