 High School Bio:

            Gambrell was All-State, All-Tennessee Valley Conference, and All-County. His specialty was kick-off and extra points. Danny completed 56 out of 92 passes for 807.yards and 7 touchdowns. He rushed 641 yards in 75 carries for 9 touchdowns and returned 11 punts for 174 yards and one touchdown. He also returned 8 kick-offs for 138 yards. Danny also participated in baseball and basketball.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Homewood defeated Benjamin Russell in five overtimes during the Class 5A Super Six state championship game in 2000.
