 High School Bio:

            Wood gained 755 yards of total offense as a senior at Guntersville. He gained 475 yards rushing, caught 18 passes for 280 yards. He served as team captain and intercepted four passes returning them for 130 yards. He was also an outstanding wrestler, placing third in the State Tournament for two years. Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The Super 6 State Championships began in 1996. Since then all title games were played at Legion Field in Birmingham until 2009.
