Right halfback from Colbert County High School in Leighton, scored 104 points in 9 games with at least one touchdown of 40 yards or more to his credit. He was captain of the squad for one year. Even though the kickoff and punt return would be considered his specialties, he was better than average on the hand-off play. All Conference and All State honors have been awarded him during his 4 years of varsity football.
