 High School Bio:

            Russellville High Tackle specialized in Kick Off (avg.55 yards.) extra points and close range field goals. He averaged 11 defensive tackles per game. He played 4 years varsity football and was Captain of 1961-62 football team. Birmingham News 1st string All-State, Received Outstanding Linemans award; All-Tennessee Valley Conference; Post Herald, 1st string All-State. He also played baseball and was Co-Captain of the 1960 basketball team.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Homewood defeated Benjamin Russell in five overtimes during the Class 5A Super Six state championship game in 2000.
