 High School Bio:

            Oneonta High Left Halfback specialized in Passing, Kicking extra points and running, played 4 years varsity football. He was the Captain of squad. He was named All-State; All-County; Birmingham Post-Herald Back-of-the-Week; Most Valuable Back on his team. He gained 800 yards rushing; Caught 10 passes for 300 yards. Scored 10 touchdowns. Also played baseball.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Morris Higginbotham coached three different teams to divisional state championships in the 1950s. He won titles at Walnut Grove in 1952, West Blocton in 1955 and Enterprise in 1960.
