 High School Bio:

            Aliceville High quarterback during 3 years on varsity team specialized in punting and passing. He completed 67% of his passes (12 out of 13 in one game) and averaged 39 yards per kick. He was co-captain as a senior. He was named All-Warrior Conference, Honorable Mention All-State in Football, All-County in Basketball and was an outstanding catcher in baseball.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
