 High School Bio:

            Excellent athlete from Samson High. He specialized in kicking off and punting. He scored 3 touchdowns and kicked 6 out of 8 extra points. Averaged 40 yards punting. He was a good tackle, averaged about 11 per game. Sensational record of athletic honors: All Conference, 2 years; Elected most valuable lineman 1961-62; Captain of Squad, 1962. Also outstanding in basketball. He was named All-State, All-Conference, 1961 & 1962; All District, scoring leader in the Conference. (24 average). Made several all tournament teams, o made the state tournament All Stare list.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Thomasville scored 54 points against Gulf Shores in the first quarter of a game in 2003. They managed to hang on for an 81-14 win.
