What is the oldest school that's still playing football today? Merged schools don't count. Curious to know since I was looking back at all state players in the early years and saw several of their schools closed or merged.

Randolph County Tigers / R.C.H.S.

2003 Class 2A State Champions, 1998 Class 3A State Runner-Ups,
1984 Class 3A State Runner-Ups, 1979 Class 2A State Runner-Ups

The oldest game we have on record that involves a school that is still playing football today would belong to surprisingly the Alabama School for the Deaf. They played a few games prior to 1900.

Schools that are still around today that played games prior to 1908 include:
Wetumpka
Bessemer
Albertville
Athens
Talladega
Huntsville
Oneonta
Selma

Until about 1920 no school played a full schedule and usually just a few games each fall.
